Governance

Key to school improvement and effective school operations is strong governance.

As a Trust we believe in being responsive to the needs of the local communities we serve, and as such we very much value our active Local Governing Bodies, who act as “critical friends”.  Our dedicated Trustees and Governors are clear about their key roles, namely strategic vision, holding the school and its leaders to account, and school finances.  Delegated responsibilities are clearly set out in the scheme of delegation.

To ensure robust over-sight, and the right balance between challenge and support, reflected in our Trust's key value of “collaboration”, we have developed a number of innovative approaches to secure this.  These include the systematic monitoring and evaluation of school logs, a common approach to Headteacher Governor reports/CEO Board reports, and a strong commitment to ongoing training.

Please see our dedicated governance section on the website to find out more about our Board of Trustees and Members.
